Our authentic self is our "true" identity. It's based on our core values, beliefs, and purpose. It guides our thinking, behavior, and decision-making.
When we conform to others, instead of following our core values, we essentially hide who we are. Perceived negative experiences can add to this confirmation bias.
This can lead to significant inner conflicts. It can increase anxiety, fear, mental fatigue, low self-esteem, unfulfillment, lack of purpose, and more.
When our core identity feels silenced, it's easy for limiting beliefs to settle in. Fears and doubts can become so intense that they prevent us from seeking overall wellness. It is hard to feel a clear sense of purpose and meaning in our lives.
Understanding core identity is essential for personal growth and unlocking our full potential in life.

Signs of a Repressed Authentic Self:
Low self-esteem
Feelings of emptiness within
Lack of clear life goals/purpose
Challenges in coping with adversity
Indecisiveness in personal matters
Limited self-awareness of one's values and strengths
Feelings of inauthenticity
Dissociation from body or environment
Tendency to give in to peer pressure
Frequent mood changes
Troubles forming fulfilling connections
Fear of rejection
Feeling guilty even when not at fault
Compulsive need for external validation
Excessive comparing to others
Anyone experiencing these signs may find it helpful to explore and strengthen their core identity to lead a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
